Anticipated roles
As we grow our public safety and due diligence work, we expect to need research assistants who can dig into public records, verify sources, and turn raw findings into clear, defensible written summaries. This is a strong entry point for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to investigative and analytical work at a technology company.
What You'd Do
- Conduct research across public records, court filings, news archives, and open-source materials.

- Support analysts working on Kentro due diligence cases and public safety investigative projects.
- Summarize research findings clearly and accurately in written reports.
- Maintain organized, well-documented case files and research notes.
- Flag inconsistencies, gaps, or questions that need a second look before they reach a client or case file.

As our robotics division grows beyond early field platforms, we anticipate needing a technical lead to own the design, development, and deployment of our robotics and sensor systems — and to help build the team around that work. This role is suited to someone who wants to take a robotics program from early prototypes to fielded, reliable systems.
What You'd Do
- Lead design and development of field robotics platforms for inspection, monitoring, and hazardous-environment tasks.
- Own sensor integration, embedded systems architecture, and autonomy stack decisions.
- Set engineering standards for testing, reliability, and field readiness.
- Collaborate with our AI infrastructure division on perception, control, and on-device inference.
- Translate customer and use-case requirements into a technical roadmap.
- Mentor and eventually help build out a small robotics engineering team.
We're Looking For Someone Who...
- Has hands-on experience taking robotics systems from prototype to field deployment.
- Thinks in terms of reliability and failure modes, not just capability.
- Can work across mechanical, electrical, and software domains, or lead others who do.
- Communicates technical tradeoffs clearly to non-engineering stakeholders.
- Wants to build and eventually lead a growing technical team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with robotic platforms, embedded systems, and sensor fusion (e.g., ROS/ROS2, C++, Python).
- Experience with field-deployed or autonomous systems preferred.
- Prior technical leadership or project ownership experience is a plus.
